At some point, Lancoro sought some additional advice about how he feels about Mako. And Aunt Reide was happy to help him out.

Lancoro . Hello nephew. You ran in here fast and you ran in here with that grin on your face, so I knew there was something up because you don’t usually skip like that. Okay, maybe you weren’t actually skipping, but there was a lightness to your step that I noticed, and that smile on your face, you’re goofy.
What are, are those sparkles in your eyes? Okay. Okay, fine. I’m- I’m done. I’m done teasing you. Maybe. But tell me, tell me what it is that you wanna talk about.
Love. What about love?
You’re in love. You’re in love. Okay. Are you comfortable with telling me about this person? What their name is and, and things like… Mako Mako. That’s cute. So, if you had a little ship name, it’d be Makoro. I think that would be, I think that’d be cute.
Anyway, anyway, you said you wanted advice. Advice in regards to love. It’s a heart thing. It’s a heart thing. You can’t force your heart to do one thing or the other. It just feels that’s, that’s what it does it just feels. I know, again, I’m teasing and advice. You want to keep this Mako? Well, I’m sure Mako’s not a pet. So you don’t keep… you know what? No. I just had a image run through my mind and I’m going to delete that cause I never wanna see that again. But love, let me, let me consider that for a moment.
Hmm. Love is whatever you decide to make it to be. Right. So it’s like with me, I’m a smuggler. What do I do? I’m the prime person to get product. I’m the prime person to deliver product to interested parties. That’s what I do. I’m great at it. It’s – it’s a, it’s a whole process though. It’s a whole process. There’s very explicit points of direction that I need to take with it. Love is not like that. It’s unclear. But the only thing that you can do is listen to your heart and don’t be a dick. I mean, what else do you want me to say about that? Also don’t let the other person be a dick to you. All right?
Listen to each other, and I can speak from experience, both me and your mother, our parents didn’t listen to us. They didn’t care. Now, that’s not a romantic relationship, but it’s a relationship nonetheless. They didn’t listen and thankfully, we don’t give a shit about them. (laughing) We don’t. But the point is, is that there was no communication. You might hear someone, but you have to listen and you also need to state what it is that you want. Do you know what you want out of this relationship?
And that’s, that’s fine. But you need to do regular checks with where you are emotionally and you need to clearly communicate that with Mako.
